| Taupo Facelift Promises Exciting A1
The recently face-lifted circuit at the Taupo's Motorsport Park will provide fans with some exciting racing, former Formula One driver Chris Amon says. Amon told NZPA he was anticipating, with relish, the sixth round of the A1 World Cup of Motorsport series, which begins with practice on Friday at the Taupo circuit. Qualifying for the 22 teams are on Saturday with the sprint race at 11am on Sunday, followed by the feature race at 3pm. "I've only seen the cars on television and on Tuesday had a look at a couple of them while they were on display so I'm looking forward to seeing them go," said the former Bulls farmer, who drove for Ferrari in 70s. Now 62, Amon, who played a role in the early re-design of the circuit, rated the track an eight out of 10 for its facilities and track design. The former Taupo Motorsport Club track has been extended to 3.5km and now has a permanent control tower and pit lane garages.
New Stanton inventor inspired by his own facial palsy
In 1972 when Albert Tiberio asked his doctors at Memorial Hospital in New York City if he would recover from facial paralysis, he didn't accept their "no" as the final answer. He went back home to Western Pennsylvania and invented a device to exercise his face -- and he recovered fully. Less than three months ago, Tiberio, of New Stanton, received a patent for that device. Now he's looking for a market for his invention, which he calls the Orbex. It's a tool he claims can help to rehabilitate a paralyzed face, provide facial exercise for all-over fitness and, for those just wanting a better appearance, keep the face looking youthful. .

Facelift for Jubilee toilets is just a start
The Edmonton park is undergoing a five-year regeneration plan with the new baby changing facilities, and toilets for disabled people an important step. Planned future improvements to the park include a wild flower zone, a cafe, and a water feature with fountain jets in the children's play area. And the council has high hopes for its other parks too having now applied for six green flag park awards for its Jubilee, Pymmes, Grovelands, Oakwood, Town , and Forty Hall parks. Enfield Council's cabinet member for environment Cllr Terry Neville said: "The Council has invested thousands of pounds into new playgrounds and upgraded facilities in parks, such as the newly refurbished toilets in Jubilee Park. "Our bid to gain six Green Flags reflects the Council's ambition and commitment to Enfield's parks." .
