Aniston Slams Plastic Surgery Reports

LATEST: Former FRIENDS star JENNIFER ANISTON has slammed reports she's had plastic surgery, insisting she simply had a deviated septum fixed in her nose. Media reports speculated the 37-year-old star had had a nose job after she was seen leaving the Beverly Hills, California office of plastic surgeon DR RAJ KANODIA earlier this month (20JAN07). Kanodia is reportedly responsible for ASHLEE SIMPSON's new look and also repaired CAMERON DIAZ's deviated septum when her nose was broken in several surfing accidents. Tabloid reports also speculated Aniston had work done on her breasts after she appeared at the People's Choice Awards earlier this month (JAN07) looking particularly voluptuous. She tells American publication People, "It's funny. I had (adeviated septum) fixed - best thing I ever did. I slept like a baby for the first time in years.

Indian Club facelift is finished

ONE of the largest and oldest expatriate clubs in Bahrain has completed a facelift which cost BD80,000 and took more than a year.

The first phase of the Indian Club refurbishment began on November 11, 2005 and the new wing houses a library, gymnasium, furniture store and rest rooms.

The project's second phase, which started in October last year, houses two badminton courts, a multi-purpose hall with a seating capacity of 1,200, a snooker room, a permanent stage with two green rooms, state-of-the-art airconditioning, and rest rooms for both men and women.

The new facilities will be opened at a ceremony and cultural event being held at the club at 7.30pm next Thursday.

Indian Ambassador Balkrishna Shetty will be chief guest.

"We needed at least BD80,000 for the renovation and part of the money had been raised through almost two years of club activities, members' and sponsors' contributions," club secretary-general Ulhas Karnavar said yesterday.
